My name is Carmen Maya Posta, sometimes I sign with my pen name: Hasu Tategami — 葉澄 立神.
I am a writer, a poet, a journalist, an illustrator, a ceramist, a half-scientist, a digital nomad, a spiritual & esoteric wanderer, and above all a human being, a soul. I love writing. I do it as a job, a hobby, a way to express myself, a therapy, a necessity, a form of art, and to feel alive.
I write poetry, short stories, novels, and journalistic articles. Having written for “Scienza Online” and “Agenzia Europea di Stampa”, both directed by Guido Donati, I have also published poems in “Il Pilota”, an independent magazine from Bologna, edited by Michael Barteloni. Currently, articles are published in “Laici” and “Periodico Italiano Magazine”, both directed by Vittorio Lusana.
I was born in Rome on May 18th, 1990. Growing up between the Canary Islands, Santo Domingo, and Egypt, I spent my adolescent years in Rome. Then, when I turned 17, I moved to England to study “Media, Culture, and Society”, I started photography, then traveled, and returned to Italy to study “Natural Sciences” in Bologna. I won third place in the photography contest “La Bellezza Ritrovata” with Nino Migliori, but didn't pursue studies in photography as I am more interested in composition than the technical side; so I began studying “Editorial Illustration” at Scuola Romana del Fumetto. Around my 30s, I began living as a digital nomad to discover cultures, explore myself, and find the best place to live surrounded by nature and tranquility.
Besides writing, reading, and painting, I love doing other things: I am a Yogini and a Yoga teacher. I spent several years doing speleology, trekking, scuba diving, kayaking, and windsurfing. I studied the inhabitants of the vegetal kingdom with Stefano Mancuso, worked in biodiversity with lovely lemurs, and observed the stars and the moon. I also study the wonders of Sanskrit and play a ukulele named Midori. That said, mango is my preferred fruit, and every color is my favorite.
